How will Francisco Rodriguez fit in with the Brewers?

Hard throwing Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez was traded today to the Milwaukee Brewers for 2 players to be named later.

Well... it seems we have an issue here. The Brewers already have a very established closer in John Axford. Both Rodriguez and Axford have 23 saves each this season for their respective ball clubs.

Brewers manager Bob Melvin may have suggested today that Rodriguez and Axford may operate as co-closers. Another possibility could be to move Rodriguez to the role of set-up man.

To Rodriguez, who has been a lifetime closer, this may seem like a downgrade, but he has a $17.5 million player option after this season, so he can decide whether he wants to stay.
